The Tipsy Toad Leend:

Whilst Visiting the Saltersgate Inn Major Farquhar St John Smyth would take refreshments with “The Old Man of The Inn” reputed to be a Captain Harold Hutchinson. The legend of Major Farquhar lives on! The outcome of these meetings was a weekly barrel rum, smuggled from Guyana. This rum would be taken and re-distilled with exotic herbs and spices to produce a Guyanese Botanical Rum.
